Hoffman and BYU down San Jose State 29-16

Former Del Norte Warrior Cody Hoffman and the BYU Cougars football team defeated San Jose State on homecoming night 29-16 on Saturday.

Hoffman, a sophomore, had one catch for eight yards and had three kick returns for 73 yards with a long of 27 yards.

BYU improved to 4-2 for the year. It was the 12th straight game that Hoffman had caught a pass for BYU.

On Saturday, the Cougars play at Oregon State starting at 1 p.m.

A number of local fans are planning to make the five-hour trek to watch Hoffman and the Cougars play.
