With Washington Redskins training camp underway, it is prime season for fan speculation in Washington.
Hogshaven.com, a Redskins fan site on SBNation, recently broke down the wide receiver battle underway in Washington.
The writer, Justin Byram, argues that if Leonard Hankerson, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral collateral ligament (LCL) last season, remains on the physically unable to perform list through Week 1, the last roster spot for a wide receiver will be a toss-up between Aldrick Robinson and undrafted free agent rookie Cody Hoffman from Crescent City.
At the end of the article, there is a poll asking if fans would rather see Hoffman or Robinson on Washington’s 53-man roster. As of Monday afternoon, Hoffman was leading the fan poll with 934 (85 percent) of the 1,100 total votes.
Robinson has played two seasons for Washington, making three starts and accruing 29 catches for 602 yards and five touchdowns.
Elsewhere, Bleacherreport.com recently ranked Hoffman third in their top five “Sleepers to watch in camp.”
