Hoffman shines again in Cougars win over Idaho

Cody Hoffman continued his torrid pace on Saturday with six catches for 114 yards and two touchdowns for the Brigham Young Cougars on Saturday. Hoffman, a 2009 Del Norte High graduate, did all of this in only one half of play in a 42-7 victory for BYU against Idaho at home to improve to 7-3 for the year. “It feels good to have a productive day,” Hoffman said in a story in the Deseret News of Salt Lake City. He caught a 32-yard strike in the first quarter and a 21-yard touchdown in the second quarter. For the season, Hoffman has 43 catches for 672 yards and six receiving touchdowns. He also has a 93-yard run for a touchdown. BYU will face New Mexico State at home on Saturday starting at 7:15 p.m. PDT. The game will be shown live on ESPNU and on the internet on ESPN3. |
