Del Norte High junior varsity pitcher Michael Young throws a pitch against Eureka Monday afternoon in Crescent City. Down six runs the end of the second, the Warriors mounted a comeback and won the contest 10-9, on a squeeze play by Greg Kirby to bring in Shane Endemano for the winning run. "They played together and won the game," head coach John Valdez said. "I'm really proud of them." On Saturday the Warriors lost two games to McKinleyville 9-4 and 4-2 at home. This season, Del Norte is 1-2. The squad next plays on Wednesday on the road at Brookings. (The Daily Triplicate/Bryant Anderson).
