Del Norte Grizzlies play in Crescent City todayThe Del Norte Grizzlies American Legion baseball team finally gets to play at home again today. The squad has not played in Crescent City since the season opener on June 5. The Grizzlies face the Eureka Falcons in doubleheader action beginning at noon at the baseball field at Del Norte High School. Originally, Del Norte was to play Eureka today on the road and Sunday at home, but it was recently rescheduled. A game against Northern Humboldt that was scheduled for Wednesday in Crescent City was canceled. On Saturday, Del Norte will play Grants Pass, Ore., in Brookings starting at 2 p.m. The Grizzlies are currently 3-10 for the season. Warrior Youth Football Camp coming up in JulyThe Del Norte High School Football Booster Club is sponsoring a Warrior Youth Football Camp. The camp, for those from third to eighth grade, begins on July 18 and runs until July 20. All skill levels are invited to take part in the camp. The camp will run each day at the football practice field at the high school from 8 a.m. to noon. Participants will be instructed by Warrior football coaches and players. This will be a non-contact skills and technique camp. Each athlete should bring football cleats or running shoes and wear comfortable workout gear. The cost is $50. Local Fourth of July run is set for MondaySign-ups are now being accepted for the Crescent City Fourth of July 5K walk and 5K/10K Fun Run on Monday.
