Warrior basketball on Charter Cable 

The Del Norte High boys’ and girls’ first Humboldt-Del Norte Big 5 league games of the season against Arcata will be televised on DNTV Channel 4 on Charter Cable. The games will be shown nightly at 7:30 p.m., starting Wednesday.

Hoffman, South win Senior Bowl 

Former Del Norte High and Brigham Young University football standout reciever Cody Hoffman competed for the South in the 2014 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Saturday.

Hoffman was targeted three times and finished the game with one catch for five yards that set up a 50-yard field goal on the next play. The South went on to win 20-10.

DN Little League registration open 

Registration is now open for the 2014 season of Del Norte Little League baseball and softball.

Little League players must be at least 4 as of May 30. Baseball players must not be older than 12 by the same date. Softball players must have been younger than 16 as of Dec. 31, 2013.

Parents can register in person at the Crescent City Fire Protection District building at 255 Washington Blvd. The building is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Paperwork is due by Feb. 1. 

Registration is also available online at www.delnortell.com with an extended deadline to apply of Feb. 16. Anyone who registers online before Feb. 1 will receive a $10 discount.

Registration is $60 for T-Ball, $70 for the Minor Division and $80 for the Major Division. Parents who sign up multiple players will also receive a $10 discount on each player.

First-time players must provide a birth certificate and three separate types of proof of residency documents.
