Three Warriors compete in Roseburg invitational

Del Norte High School sent three athletes to compete in Pepsi’s Jim Robinson Twilight Invitational in Roseburg, Ore., on Saturday.

Freshman Chad Bell ran a personal-best in the 100-meter dash (12.07 seconds) and tied for fifth place in the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches).

Senior Morgan Laney took second in the shot put (36-8) and sixth in the discus throw (personal-best 98-9).

Senior Kylee Bruder finished in fifth place in the high jump (5-1) and cleared a personal-best height of 9 feet, 7 inches in the pole vault for sixth place.

The Warriors continue their season with Wednesday’s Humboldt-Del Norte league meet at McKinleyville.
