Warriors VB team loses to Tigers in four games |
The Del Norte High varsity volleyball team lost to Arcata in four games in the regular season finale Tuesday night on the road. The Warriors fell to the Tigers, the Big 5 Conference champions, 25-23, 13-25, 10-25, 22-25. “It was a disappointing loss because I know we could have played better,” head coach Robyn Parker said. “It is my fault. I tried to make a change and it didn’t work. When the girls made it past that, we were in the fourth game and they began playing well again. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough.” Senior Keirstyn Anderson had another strong game, finishing with 16 kills, three aces and five digs. Morgan Laney had nine digs, three blocks and two aces. Ayashe Padon finished with four kills and four blocks. Shauna Ratnour had five digs while Brittany Maready had three digs. Kylee Bruder had six blocks while Emma Card had two blocks. Del Norte ended the regular season 14-16 overall and 3-5 in the Big 5. |
