Warriors boys tennis loses first contest to Eureka

Del Norte High School’s boys tennis team lost its first contest 3-6 to Eureka High School.

In singles, No. 1 player Thomas Thao lost 0-6, 0-6. No. 2 player Blair Westbrook won 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. No. 3 player Tong Lee lost 6-7 (5-7), 4-6. No. 4 player Zach Collard won in 3 sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. No. 5 player Richard Chao won 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-3. No. 6 player Sher Lee lost 0-6, 2-6.

The tennis team did not win any of its doubles matches.

The first match, with Thao and Westbrook competing, was lost 3-8. In the second match Collard and Chao lost 4-8. In the third match, Tong Lee and Jack Chen lost 4-8.
