Warriors softball team falls to Loggers 11-8

The Del Norte High softball team lost to fellow Big 5 Conference opponent Eureka 11-8 at home on Friday. The Warriors took a 3-1 advantage after two innings. But in the top of the third inning, the Loggers went off for seven runs to put Del Norte in a five-run hole. While the Warriors were able to smack in five more runs, the Loggers still won by three runs. Ayashe Padon went 3-for-4 for Del Norte with two runs. Keirstyn Anderson was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Del Norte fell to 5-13 for the season. Today, the Warriors face Arcata in doubleheader action at home starting at 11 a.m. |
