In the AA division, Crescent Elk A trailed University Prep by eight points at the start of the fourth quarter but rallied to a 46-44 victory. The Cougars were the No. 8 seed in the bracket, University Prep the No. 1 seed.
“They dictated the pace of the game,” Crescent Elk A coach John Horner said. “They persevered.”
In the A-1 division, Smith River Blue held a 32-24 halftime lead before ultimately losing to Azalea, 67-59.
In the A-2 division, Redwood Red lost to Mendocino, 32-31, amid a controversial finish.

Del Norte Triplicate / Bryant Anderson In the C division, Crescent Elk C advanced with a 45-21 win over Freshwater. The Cougars will play Grenada, which beat KRECR/Foursquare 72-5. Smith River White fell to Loleta, 46-41.
Scores for the Crescent Elk B/Monument contest in the B-1 division and Redwood White/Douglas City contest in the C division were unavailable at press time.
