Quarterback Tim Crochet of the Wild Rivers Storm semi-pro football team during a game at home at Del Norte High School in Crescent City on Saturday evening. The Storm lost to the Roseburg Knights of Oregon 14-13. The Storm started its first possession with a long drive resulting in a touchdown and the 7-0 lead. Late in the game, down 14-7, Storm cornerback Clint McClurg intercepted a ball for a touchdown to cut the lead to 14-13. An excessive celebration call against McClurg increased the extra point attempt to the 25-yard line. The kick was blocked. The Storm had a successful onside kick, but could not get into field goal range before time expired. The loss dropped the Storm to 0-4 for the season. The team next plays on the road May 3 against Klamath Falls, Ore. The next home game is on May 10 against the Salem Monarchs of Oregon. (The Daily Triplicate/ Rick Postal).
