Airport Authority to meet Wednesday a.m.

The Border Coast Regional Airport Authority will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday this month, rather than the usual Thursday.

 Five teams competed for top prizes for chicken, tri-tip and baby-back ribs in this year’s BBQ Wars Battle at the Beach. Hosted by Palmer Westbrook Ranch, first-place winners received $150 in cash, a trophy and a cooler with Oat Hill Organic Beef. Second-place winners received $50 and a trophy. There was also People’s Choice categories, with the judges being chosen via raffle. The winners split the proceeds of the raffle.
