The Emblem Club will plant a forest of decorated Christmas trees this weekend and a lucky few will get to take one home.

More than 40 decorated trees ranging from small table toppers to big 8-foot affairs will be featured at the club’s annual Festival of Trees fundraiser at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds. Attendees will be able to view the trees and purchase tickets starting Friday afternoon and on Saturday morning. The trees will then be raffled off at a luncheon on Saturday.

Each tree is donated to the Emblem Club by a local individual or business. This year donors include the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Northern Knights Car Club, Sutter Coast Hospital Laboratory, the Del Norte County Library and Daughters of the American Revolution.
