Harlan McElroy’s 1941 Ford roadster took the Best in Show award at this year’s Sea Cruise on Saturday, but the Central Point, Oregon resident wasn’t there to accept the trophy.

Instead, Bruce Gieg, owner of T&D Performance in Central Point, which built the car, stepped forward to claim the award. The roadster also took best in its class of modified cars from 1941-48.
