Activities both familiar and new will fill annual event’s four-day schedule
At 8 a.m. this morning, the gates will swing open on another year of a time-tested local institution that is more Del Normal than lily bulbs and redwood stumps: the Del Norte County Fair, which runs today through Sunday.
Some things never change at the fair, like the year-after-year, crowd-pleasing spectacles of Sunday’s Demolition Derby and Tuff Trucks competition, Saturday’s C.C.P.R.A. Rodeo, Friday’s Miss Del Norte competition, the Grange Jr. Livestock Auction on Sunday and a country music star or two.
