 August halibut season opens today

Sportfishing action quieted down on the ocean this week as strong northwest winds caused choppy waters, especially a few miles off the coast. Closer to the harbor a few boats were able to get out in search of bottomfi sh and managed to grab limits of lingcod and plenty of rockfish.
