The Crescent City Planning Commission will be open to public opinion before determining whether the Coasta Norte development will have a significant affect on the environment.

A 30-day public comment period will begin on Nov. 14 for a proposed three-story, 98,755 square-foot multi-use building at 200 A St. It will consist of 44 residential units and a 2,172 square foot professional office suite proposed for medically related use.

Residents are invited to appear at the hearing and to inform the city orally or in writing of any concerns about this project. The proposed Negative Declaration and project documents are available for review at City Hall at 377 J St.

The Commission Staff has prepared a Negative Declaration according to the California Environmental Quality Act.

The Commission will hold a public hearing on Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center, 1001 Front St. to consider adopting the Negative Declaration for the development permit.
