The Crescent City Council will consider appointing two people to their Planning Commission at a budget workshop meeting on Monday.
Sandy Blakely and Robert Kirk are the two candidates the council will consider for the commission. Both Blakely and Kirk were already on the commission to fill vacancies left by commissioners who resigned. But, if the council approves the appointment, they will continue their duties.
Even if Blakely and Kirk are appointed, the Crescent City Planning Commission will still need to fill one more vacancy due to the recent appointment of Richard Enea to the city council. He used to sit on the commission.
The budget workshop will take place at 5 p.m. Monday in the Cultural Center located at 1001 Front St.
