Rates at Shoreline RV Park and Campground, located near the harbor on Sunset Circle, might increase if the Crescent City Council approves a summer fee schedule Monday.

In 2006, the council approved a reduction in fees during the winter months, but staff is now proposing to reinstate the summer fees beginning on June 1.

At this time the fees would not be any higher than than they were last summer. However, city staff is completing a survey of rates charged at other RV parks in the area and will present their results at Monday's meeting.

Also, Friday was the last day the city accepted applications for the vacant city council seat previously filled by Herb Kolodner.

Six residents applied for the open position. Applicants include:

?Debbie Weist

?Kathryn Murray

?Hiram andquot;Stanandquot; Jones

?Charles Slert

?Noya Reno

?Richard Enea

Interviews of the applicants will begin next week, but it is unclear when someone will be appointed to the vacancy.

Monday's city council meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Cultural Center, located at 1001 Front St., Crescent City.
