Redwood Adventures will host a festival in honor of the American Hiking Society's 15th-annual National Trails Day June 2.

In celebration of the nation's trails, visitors to Redwood National and State Parks and surrounding communities are invited to take part in bike and horseback rides, kayak trips and interpretive hikes

The celebration, which is sponsored by the Orick Chamber of Commerce and hosted at Redwood Adventures' Events Center, is designed to inspire the public to visit trails and to celebrate the area while taking part in tours, gear demonstrations, educational exhibits, art, food and music.

Exhibitions and demonstrations will be presented by the American Red Cross, Boy/Cub Scouts of America, Humboldt State University Forestry Conclave, Orick Arts, Pro Sports Center, Redwood Art by Alvin, Redwood Trails Horseback, Tim Duncan woodcarvings, the Yurok Tribe and Kayak Zak's.
