Former editor of Curry Coastal Pilot passes away

The former editor of the Curry Coastal Pilot, Gerald B. Teague, died Saturday following a lengthy illness. He was 72.

Teague worked at several California newspapers, including the Alhambra Post-Advocate, Anaheim Bulletin, Dixon Tribune, Mountain Bugle, Oroville Mercury-Register, Redding Record Search-Light and the Winnemucca Humboldt Sun.

He retired from the Coastal Pilot, The Daily Triplicate's sister paper in Brookings, in 2000, and moved to Nevada. Funeral services are planned for Friday in Winnemucca, Nev.
