"California's nonprofits are how people in California organize to care for one another, to drive social innovation, to create the conditions for prosperity and to stand up for values," said Jan Masaoka, the new executive director of the California Association of Nonprofits (CAN).
Del Norte nonprofit organizations are invited to meet with Jan as she is touring the state to learn more about each region's unique needs, strengths, challenges and creative innovations. Del Norte County is home to over 100 tax-exempt organizations doing everything from providing medical care, to supporting the arts, education, social services and economic development.

CAN's work has a strong history of advocating for nonprofits with the
legislature, government administrators and philanthropy. It brings the
voices of nonprofits throughout the state to the public dialogue and
wants to hear from organizations on the North Coast.
