The Eureka Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will have its 40th Annual Rhododendron Show (and accompanying plant sale) next weekend.

The Rhododendron Show will be April 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and April 29 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Bernard's Elementary School, Miles Hall, 115 Henderson St. in Eureka. Parking will be available.

Along with viewing the beautiful display, the public is encouraged to enter blooms, arrangements, and photographs into the show.

This is an official judged show, but, in addition, the public will also be asked to vote for its favorite.

A large selection of rhodies and azaleas will be on sale.

At 1 p.m. both days, Don Wallace of Singing Tree Garden, will provide a workshop, "Six Steps to Success with Rhododendrons."

The Bonsai Society will be sharing the show space with unique, artistic entries and on-going demonstrations.

For general questions or to learn the details of providing entries into the rhody show, call (707)839-2073.
