After meeting on a blind date, Gloria Hanson and Leon Gochanour were married April 5, 1952, in Bellingham, Wash.

Leon had been recently honorably discharged from the military after serving in Korea. Gloria was working in Seattle and living on a houseboat.

They settled in Smith River, where Leon's roots run deep to the Tolowa and first generation immigrants. Gloria left her family behind in Washington.

They raised their four children in Smith River, and now have grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

They are very loved and respected by all their family, those who have adopted them as family and their many friends.

Cards of congratulations may be sent to Gloria and Leon, c/o Sandy Netzel, P.O. Box 2311, Harbor, OR 97415.
