Due to severe weather off the California coast, the arrival of the tall ship Lady Washington to Crescent City is delayed until at least Saturday, the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority announced Tuesday.
The vessel was scheduled to arrive Thursday, but a series of storms prevented it from departing Bodega Bay on its scheduled date. The ship is now expected to depart Bodega Bay and arrive sometime Saturday.
Lady Washington's companion ship, the Hawaiian Chieftain, is expected to arrive on schedule in Crescent City late Thursday afternoon. Both ships will be berthed in Crescent City Harbor.
Guests who hold tickets for the 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, Battle Sail are asked to call the Historical Seaport office at 800-200-5239 for an exchange or refund.
