Armed, violent robbery at parts store

A man is wanted after a local auto parts store was the scene of a violent robbery Monday morning.

Around 7 a.m., a white male wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun walked into O'Reilly Auto Parts store through the back door as the store was opening for business, according to a press release from the Crescent City Police Department.

The male demanded money from a store clerk, who complied, then was assaulted by the robbery suspect, CCPD stated.

The man then ran with an undisclosed amount of cash through the backdoor and continued in a northerly direction.

The robbery suspect is described as 5'6" to 5'7" feet tall, between the ages of 20andndash;27 years old, having a slender build and a goatee.

He was loitering around the Dumpsters at the rear of the building waiting for the store to open, CCPD stated.

Anyone

with information concerning this incident or anyone who was in the area

and witnessed any suspicious events is being asked by the CCPD to come

forward.
