A stick-throwing incident led to drug-related arrests for two Crescent City residents Saturday night.
Authorities responded to trailers near Park City Superette on a call around 11:50 p.m. about a woman being hit with a hedge trimmer after her neighbor threw it at her, said sheriff's Sgt. Richard Griffin.
The reported hedge trimmer turned out to be a large v-shaped stick, Griffin said.
Griffin, who was aiding sheriff's Sgt. Daniel Schneck, encountered a man who he knew to be on probation stemming from a 2011 drug case.
A search of the trailer where the man lived with the woman who allegedly threw the stick at her neighbor turned up 10 bags of methamphetamine with a combined total of 2 grams, a bag of 20 Vicodin pills and 2andndash;3 grams of concentrated cannabis and a digital scale, Griffin said.
A resident in the trailer, Abraham Camez Jr., 55, was arrested on suspicion of probation violation, possession of meth for sale, possession of meth and possession of a controlled substance.
The woman who allegedly threw the stick, Tina Aubrey, 53, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
