In a Thursday article ("Cody Hoffman: Del Norte's first in the NFL") a third Del Norte graduate who was in a professional football league was omitted.
In addition to Hoffman signing with an NFL team and Buck Pierce playing in the CFL, former Warriors great Drew Roberts was drafted out of Humboldt State as a wide receiver by the Oakland Raiders with the 102nd pick in the 13th round of the 1963 AFL draft. That was three years before the first Super Bowl and seven years before the AFL fully merged with the NFL. Roberts did not end up playing any games with the Raiders.
Also, it was Dave Brous Jr. that pitched for the San Francisco Giants organization.
