AmberLee Hansen of Sandy, Utah, and David Jordan Standring of Crescent City were married April 26, 2014, at the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah.
AmberLee is the daughter of Brad and Paula Hansen of Sandy, Utah. She is a 2009 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in family history-geneology, with an emphasis in Southern U.S. research from Brigham Young University in April 2014. Prior to the wedding, she worked as a workshop teacher for family history and a research assistant at BYU for an upcoming publication on British and American families from 1690andndash;1820. She will work this summer at Dr. Standring's dental office.
David is the son of Dr. James and Lori Standring of Crescent City. He is a 2008 graduate of Del Norte High School currently majoring in mechanical engineering at BYU, returning in the fall. He took two years out from his studies to serve a mission in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He also played a trombone in the Cougar Marching Band at BYU prior to his church mission. He is employed as a Spanish language teacher at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, but will be working this summer in Dr. Standring's dental office.
The bridesmaids were the bride's younger sisters: Rachel, Heather and Kosha and the groom's younger sister Kira. The groomsmen were the groom's brothers, James, Jason, Garrett and Daniel (brother Mark, on a mission in Germany, was an honorary groomsman), and the bride's brother Ryan.
An open house reception will be held in Crescent City on Saturday, June 14, from 6:30andndash;8:30 p.m. at the LDS. Church on 1031 A St. Friends are welcome to stop by. A reception was also held in Sandy, Utah, on the evening of the wedding.
