A man suspected of breaking into a Crescent City residence turned himself in along with a majority of the stolen property on Thursday.

The Crescent City Police Department received a call about a burglary from the 500 block of J Street on Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the department. A large amount of property, including rifles, handguns, electronics and clothes were reported missing.

Officers, including lead investigator Justin Gill, conducted a neighborhood check and were able to locate several possible witnesses and identify a potential suspect and his vehicle.

The department issued to local law enforcement a "be on the lookout" (BOLO) advisory about the suspect and obtained search warrants for two locations, both of which were served on Wednesday.

The Police Department said that there are still two suspects who are outstanding, along with two stolen handguns and some other personal property.

Police are withholding the name of the suspects until the issue is resolved.
