Obituaries: Mary Fay Sterker(1930-2008)

Mary Fay Sterker, born July 24, 1930, in Stringtown, Okla., passed away Oct. 4, 2008, in Crescent City. She was a 46-year resident of Del Norte County.

Mary worked at Glen's Restaurant for 20 years as a prep cook. Mary loved to sew and make quilts. She was a former member of the local Moose Lodge No. 451.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Karl Sterker of Crescent City; children Frank Pulizzi of Crescent City, Geaney Evans of Atwater, Betty Edelbrock of Winton, Michelle Moorer of Mobile, Ala., Thomas Cook of Crescent City, and Ricky Sterker of Mobile; grandchildren Tony, Josephine, Jason, Angie, Chrystal, Emily, Annie and Stevie; six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her sons Donny Cook and Dewey Cook and daughter Suzann Gansales.

Memorial services will be held at Wier's Mortuary Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
