William Walker passed away Sept. 4, 2008, at Rogue Valley Medical Center at the age of 86. He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Palisades Park, N.J. He had been a resident of Crescent City for the past 20 years.

He spent his younger years serving his country as a captain in the U.S. Army, and spent time fighting in the Philippines. He enjoyed both playing and watching tennis. He met many influential people while working as a businessman and raising his family. He loved his family and especially enjoyed sneaking cookies to his great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline Walker, his parents Jack and Mary Minasian, and his son William andquot;Billyandquot; Walker Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Driscoll of Crescent City, granddaughter Tessa Burke her husband Justin Burke of Palm Springs, granddaughter Christy Walker and her husband Jason Walker of Crescent City, and great-grandchildren Samantha Burke, Tristan Burke, Olivia Burke, Kaitlin Walker and Allison Walker.
