Lonni Marlene Sexton was born in Prineville, Ore., on Jan. 25, 1950, and passed away on March 20, 2008, in Crescent City. She was retired from Pacific Gas and Electric.

She enjoyed her Proposition 215 work, which furthered legal rights for marijuana growers in her community. Lonni was an avid gardener, fisherwoman and black powder rifle enthusiast.

There was never a hungry stray animal in Lonni's neighborhood.

She was preceded in death by her father William Floyd Dunham, her brother Donald Bruce Dunham, and step-father Deemer Albert Cotham.

Lonni is survived by her son, Darrick William Amos, her mother Betty Jane Cotham, sister Pamela Jane Owen, niece Rebecca Bianca Henderson and her companion Greg Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lonni's name to any charity that helps people or animals in need.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
