Harmon N. Romine, born on Nov. 2, 1931 in Poteau, Okla., died on Jan. 24, 2008 in Klamath. He was a 41-year resident of Del Norte County.

Harmon served during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army Division. He was a logger for Simpson Timber Company until they closed. He loved to garden and loved his flowers in his yard.

Mr. Romine is survived by his wife Wanda Romine of Klamath; sons, Kenneth Romine of Klamath, Keith Romine of Canyonville, Ore., Danny Romine of Coquille, Ore.; daughters Tammie Law of Coquille and Deborah Romine of Klamath; sisters, Juanita Huber and Geneva Yovanovich both of New Mexico and Iva Calderia of Texas; brother, Sidney Romine of Arkansas; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his previous wife Margaret Romine in 2004.

Visitation will be held at Wier's Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. until noon with services following at noon. Private inurnment will take place at the Del Norte County Veteran's Cemetery in Crescent City.
