Donald Edward Scribner, age 51, a native of Fort Bragg, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 following a long illness.

He was raised and educated in Fort Bragg, graduating from Fort Bragg High School in 1974. He then attended College of the Redwoods, studying metal fabrications; becoming a welder. Donald worked as a welder in Crescent City for several years, before being injured at work 13 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Scribner, of Crescent City; children, Morgan Faagata and husband Trevor, Jean McManus and husband Gene, Travis Roberts and wife Laura, Justin Roberts and Matthew Scribner; grandchildren, Zoe and Ayden McManus and Nicholas and Justin Faagata; his mother Emily Scribner and brother Martin Scribner both of Fort Bragg.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Coast Christian Center, 1004 Chestnut Street, Fort Bragg, with Reverend Larry Blair officiating. Private Inurnment was arranged by Chapel by the Sea, Fort Bragg.
