Jackie Glenn Lyon, 74, died May 17, 2007, in Crescent City.

He was born Jan. 1, 1933 in Ascella, Neb., and moved to Del Norte County 18 years ago from Klamath Falls, Ore.

Jackie was was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Crescent City Church of Christ and volunteered as a chaplain at Pelican Bay State Prison. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lenetta Lyon of Crescent City; his children, LaShell Lange and LaDenna Oman, both of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and Brent Everett Lyon of Bend, Ore.

He is also survived by his mother Mildred Epperson of Klamath Falls, Ore.; his siblings Harry Lyon of Klamath Falls, Ore.; Joy Marshall of Vancouver, Wash., and Danny Lyon of Grants Pass, Ore.; his grandchildren, Annie Reagan of Eugene, Ore.; Audrey Kingzett of Grants Pass, Ore.; Kameron Gordon and Bianca Lange of Klamath Falls, Ore., also survive him, as do great-grandchildren Cloe Kingzett, Gage Kingzett, and Genevieve and Gillian Reagan, also survive him.

Memorial services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Christ, on the corner of Ninth and E Streets.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel.
