While traveling through Elk Grove, Calif., on Dec. 1, the price of regular gasoline was $1.79 per gallon! Why are we still paying $2.50 per gallon of regular gasoline and think it is a bargain?

Someone please explain why we are paying at least 71 cents higher a gallon than Elk Grove which is just south of Sacramento, the next day!

Transportation can't be that much more for moving gasoline. Is it because we have no other choice? Is it just greed?
