In reference to M.J. Berry's letter on Nov. 24 (andquot;Crescent City murals are 'pass, stagnant and hollow'andquot;) .

This is a pioneer kind of town, it has been knocked down andthe sign of a true championhas gotten back up to carry on. This is one of the oldest towns in all of California, and the mural of Jack London on the Triplicate building shows the history of this town when he came here in 1911. How dare you call this some kind of shanty town. If you do not like it herethen please leave now.

In closing if you ever get close to Jack London's grave, he will reach up and grab you.
