Letters: Whoever let wastewater plant get to this point should be fired


According to public works director Jim Barnts regarding our present sewer system, andquot;It's just too far gone... it's too late.andquot; If whoever let it get to this stage is still working for the city or county, I believe that they should be fired! And why wasn't there a vote over this long before we became $15-$20 million in debt? Something tells me that even if all 5,740 eligible voters were to vote against the sewer rate increases, it would still be expanded! What ever happened to the word andquot;fix?andquot;
