Letters: Reader dug headline about gravel mining problems

I had to laugh at the headline: andquot;Gravel Efforts Run Agroundandquot; (July 6).

Years ago, in Los Angeles, one of life's little joys was finding the puns in the headlines of the Los Angeles Times. For example, during a sharp upswing in demand for fast-food chicken, a headline in the financial section was andquot;Chickie-Boomandquot;. When a transit strike hit Los Angles and a local DJ did his show from the driver's seat of a city bus, getting lost, running over curbs and missing stops, the story headline was: andquot;Blunder Busandquot;.

So keep it up, Triplicate, you're on the right track!
