I wanted to take time to thank Cornelia de Bruin for putting together a wonderful article on Mothers' Day (andquot;48 bottles a day, andquot; May 12). Between babies it was a longer interview than anticipated, but she was very patient and gracious and did a wonderful job.
I truly do believe that for any woman to be pregnant is a miracle, and to be pregnant with three babies is just three times the miracle, once the shock wears off.
My husband, Eric, and I have very full and eventful days. There's not much quiet time. Everyone asks how we do it. They can't imagine. I say whether it is one, two or three, raising children is a full-time job. My hat is off to all moms. It's a lot of hard work, but it's also rewarding.
In my case, I'm very blessed: I am married to a wonderful and loving man that is very supportive. I admire Eric. He works seven days a week, is hard working and very busy, then comes home to another full-time job every night.
I know he is exhausted, and yet he always takes the time to show the boys how much he cares. He has brought so much happiness into my life, and now we have three beautiful boys. He is an awesome dad, and I can see we have a lot to look forward to.
Everyone's always looking for that dream. Right now, I feel luckier than most because I get to live my dream every day with Eric and the boys, and I'm so thankful.
Happy Fathers' Day, Eric.
Then there are my parents. They have been a constant loving and helping hand. Mom is here every day to help with the babies, and dad checks in to be assured all is well and to see if we need anything.
We appreciate all you do and would be overwhelmed if not for your help. Thank you. Happy Father's Day, Dad, I love you.
Finally, the article included a picture of the boys. Rose, who works at Wal-Mart, heard of my pregnancy and began crocheting three bed-size blankets for the boys.
Despite her busy life, she took the time to do this for us and somehow was able to finish them by the time they were born.
They are beautiful blankets and will be treasured for a long time. Thank you, Rose.
