Community helped make book drive a success
We would like to warmly thank all who helped make our recent Road to Reading Book Drive Raffle at the Recreation Department All-Star game a success.
To Lighthouse Books, Starbucks Coffee, Spotlight Video and Wal-Mart, your generous donations were greatly appreciated and helped make some lucky winners very happy! To John Horner from the Recreation Department, for working so hard with us to make the raffle a success and for helping get the word out about the event, we couldn't have done it without you!
And finally to all who brought books and donated funds at the game we can't possibly thank you enough! The Wonder Bus will be able to spread the joy of literacy even farther now as a result of your contributions. All monetary proceeds from the raffle will go toward the purchase of even more books.
Thank you again, everyone, and we hope to see you at our Donation Celebration on March 30 at the Del Norte Family Resource Center at 1:30!

Klamath fire board is proud
of its firefighters' dedication
We, members of the Klamath Community Fire Board, are very proud of our firefighters.
Although they all have families and jobs, when a call comes in it takes first priority. They dedicate their free time to current training procedures, not for praise or money, but for the love of their fellow man and community. They are the first responders, whether it is an accident, medical emergency or a fire.
Our equipment is checked on a regular basis, but as with anything in life, there can be an unfortunate failure. One of the things that we struggle with constantly is the lack of funding to replace broken and stolen equipment. There is a great need for more volunteers, increased property assessment or even donations.
The letters from the community are greatly appreciated, whether they are supportive or critical. We are always looking for ways to improve our performance. Thank you again, volunteers, for your unselfish service and commitment.
