Henion's experience makes him best choice
Del Norte County has an excellent opportunity to select Dohn Henion as a Superior Court Judge. I have known Mr. Henion since 1984 and consider him an excellent and distinguished attorney, counselor of law and advocate. From 1984andndash;1988 I worked at the Del Norte County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Henion was a criminal defense attorney at the time and his work was always well thought out, hard hitting and effective. He possessed the rare ability to analyze cases thoroughly and present exceptional legal and oral advocacy.
After my days in Del Norte County I had the opportunity to represent the State of California in various capacities and did actual litigation in 53 of the state's 58 counties. I came to the conclusion that Del Norte County was fortunate to have so many fine attorneys but I also came to the conclusion that few attorneys in the state had the breadth of experience, judicial temperment or ability of Mr. Henion.
A judge with compassion, experience, unsurpassed legal research ability and a zest for the people is a rare commodity. I think Del Norte County will be well honored by selecting Dohn Henion as its next Superior Court Judge.
Drossel possesses qualities to be DA
Having known Bob Drossel and his wife Debbie as a friend and neighbor for many years, we can honestly say that he is a great asset to our Del Norte community.
He is definitely not afraid of hard work, as is shown by the care and detail put into our residential area. In our working career we have found that generally good, hard-working habits flow from home to job.
We know Bob as an honest, dedicated man who will steer our county down a healthy path. He possesses the qualities of good citizenship, community involvement and concern for people. With his leadership, experience and former background as district attorney he will do an exemplary job. Let's be proud of our vote and elect Bob as our next district attorney.

Republican Women oppose Critical Access
The Del Norte County Republican Women Federated supports the Del Norte County Health Care District's unanimous decision to retain Acute Care status for Sutter Coast Hospital. Republican women believe degrading the hospital status will cause great harm to our community.
Del Norte County Republican Women Federated strongly urges Sutter Health to abandon its mission to remove local management in the process called regionalization, lowering the status of our hospital to Critical Access.
If Sutter Health is determined to terminate Acute Care status and move to Critical Access, the Del Norte Republican Women Federated encourages the Health Care District and Del Norte County Board of Supervisors to explore all options in seeking a new health care partner to maintain local ownership and shared governance of our local hospital.
