The Crescent City Sharks Swim Club had a strong showing at a meet at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka over the weekend, placing fourth overall, despite having only 25 participants on Saturday and 10 on Sunday. The team has more than 40 members.

Sharks Coach Ron Radison believes if there were more members at the meet, they would have had at least a second place finish. In the boys 17-18 division, Travis Lundeen did extremely well. He placed first in three events and second in five, gaining the most points in his division.

In the boys 15-16 200-yard backstroke, Seth Castagnola placed first for the Sharks. In the boys 13 and over 200-yard medley relay, Lundeen, Castagnola and Connor and Graham Skudstad placed first for Crescent City.

In the girls division, Crystal Harp placed first in the 15-16 year old girls 500-yard freestyle. Evelyn Bucci placed first in the girls 11-12 500-yard freestyle.
