Sharks swim team has good showing in Eureka


EUREKA The Crescent City Sharks Swim Club had a good showing at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka over the weekend, placing fourth overall. Coach Ron Radision said this was quite impressive, considering many teams had a lot more group members take part. On Saturday, Crescent City had 10 children participating and five on Sunday. The ages of team members range from 6 to 18. andquot;These kids did absolutely wonderful,andquot; Radision said. andquot;They swam their hearts out.andquot; Evelyln Bucci, 11, received the High Point Trophy, the highest honor in her division, for earning four first place, three second place and four third place finishes at the meet. Isabella Lucero, 13, had two second and four fourth place finishes. Sophia Lucero, 11, had three third place, a fourth place and two fifth place finishes. Connor Skudstad, 16, had three third place and two fourth place finishes. Daniel Standring, 8, had a third place, a fourth place and two fifth place finishes. The team's next meet will be in Eureka on Dec. 1 and 2.
