The Del Norte High track team had another solid showing, with several Warriors placing at a Humboldt-Del Norte Conference meet at Fortuna on Wednesday. The meet was hosted by Ferndale and South Fork. Eneas Caro earned first place in the triple jump. Cody Hoffman earned first in the 200-meter dash. Roger McCovey got a first place finish in the discus and second in the shot put. Michael Worch won first in the 300-meter hurdles. Saxon Schultz set a personal best in the high jump, good enough for second place. He was also fourth in the long jump, second in the triple jump and placed in the 100-meter hurdles. The boys 4x400 meter relay team came in second. Kelsy Hintz finished first in the 100-meter dash and second in the 200-meter dash. She did not participate in the pole vault due to a sore back. Taylor Duncan did not participate in the boys pole vault. Bailee McCulloch placed first in the 200-meter relay. Rebecca Cink finished first in the 800-meter run, and Rachel Cink placed first in the 300-meter hurdles. The girls team placed second in the 4x400 meter relays. The Warriors next compete at a meet on Saturday in Grants Pass, Ore.
