At the H-DNC tennis doubles championships on Friday, Del Norte High's No.1 and No.2 players, Blake Polidore and David Standring, lost in the opening round to Eureka. Winning the first set 6-4, they lost the remaining sets 6-3, 6-1. The pair were the only Warriors to participate. The No.3 to No.6 players all are in the high school band and were away at a concert. Arcata High continued its dominance, winning the championship of every doubles bracket. The event ended the season for Del Norte, which finished tied for third in the conference with Fortuna, head coach Kirk Olsen said. He said he was proud of how his team played throughout the season and said it was a good year for the team.
