DN wrestling team does well at Windsor tourney

The Del Norte Warrior wrestling team had a solid showing at a tournament in Windsor on Saturday.

Senior heavyweight Isaac Terry took third overall in the elite competition, assistant coach Clinton Schaad said. Terry only lost by a single point in his semifinal match.

Sophomore Jackson Evans finished fourth overall at 138 pounds.

Senior Austin Moore took fifth place at 220 pounds. Skylar Haddad came

in eighth place at 126 pounds. Two Warrior senior grapplers, Andrew

Napier at 182 pounds and Morgen Fischer at 132 pounds, took the

consolation bracket titles in their respective weight classes.

Del Norte will host its last home meet of the year tonight. The

Humboldt-Del Norte Conference event will feature Fortuna and

St. Bernard's. Matches begin at 6:30 p.m. at Thunen Gym at the high

school, with senior members of the Warriors being honored.

Del Norte did well in HDN competition last week at home, defeating Arcata 68-12.
