Two individuals and two relay teams from the Del Norte High track and field team placed in the top eight of the California Interscholastic Federation North Coast Section Redwood Empire Area Track and Field Championships, held Saturday at Santa Rosa High School in Santa Rosa.
Sophomore Kayla Costello finished in fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles (47.08 seconds), the highest of any Warrior individual. Senior Katelynn Rowe took sixth place at 400 meters (1:00.39). Both Rowe and Costello will advance in their respective events to the NCS Meet of Champions, held at Edwards Stadium at the University of California, Berkeley, on Saturday, May 25.
